For 1998, Suzuki replaced the Gsxr 750's four 39 mm carburetors with an electronic fuel injection system with large, 46 mm throttle bodies.
The Mikuni fuel injectors were controlled by a Denso computer. The performance boost was some 5 hp at the top and, just as important, a smoother torque curve and improved drivability.
