Suzuki moto wanted the Gsxr 750 to have class-leading power, and that meant allowing the engine to breathe deeply.
However, large carburetors are often difficult to tune for low-speed, snap-open throttle response.
Suzuki moto and Mikuni's answer was a slide-lift system that helped keep the slides under more positive control during low-rpm acceleration. When instructed by the engine control unit, a small valve opened to control the relative pressure in the vacuum diaphragm above the throttle slides.
This technology permitted Suzuki moto to tune the engine for maximum high-rpm power while retaining excellent drivabillty.
