Gsxr 750 SRAD
Mr. Nishino was the styling designer on the '96 Suzuki Gsxr 750.
One of his greatest challenges was making a pleasing shape to surround the densely packaged chassis.
The fuel tank, for example, had to fully surround the new low-slung frame, yet it had to be tall enough to cover a large airbox (required for engine performance) and still hold a reasonable amount of fuel. (The goal was 18 liters, or 4.8 gallons.)
To keep the tank from appearing too tall in profile, he created styling lines and a subtle character line that are carried over into the side panel.
